I’m actually pretty excited to put together a dream cast for this book! I’m only doing the two main characters, as they were the main focus, and I didn’t get enough of a clear image of the side characters to make good cast choices for them.

For most of the story, I couldn’t picture anyone but Jesse Williams as Marcus. His role in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 reminded me a lot of Marcus’s personality, and the physique wasn’t too far off, either.
Not to mention, he has gorgeous blue eyes.
From there, I had to figure out Clare, which was far more difficult. Still, I think I found a good fit.
Clare
Not only is her actual nickname “Chloe the braniac” but she’s eccentric, goofy, and awesome. If she changed her hair color for the role, she’d make a kick-ass Clare.

Standard romance story, a little extra sizzle, and plenty of sass.
In general, I enjoy most sweet romance stories. Meeting a couple of new characters, and following them as they fall in love and start a new life together is always fun, and gets the sappy feelings going. With Wired I wasn’t disappointed in any of that, and quite enjoyed the characters the story focused on.
Marcus seemed like the kind of guy you’d actually want to hang out with. He wasn’t too full of himself to have a good time, and wasn’t so rowdy that you’d regret having him around. Sports stories often have the guy portrayed far too macho, with an ego that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Luckily, this one didn’t, and I enjoyed watching him fall through his issues, and land right in front of the most unlikely woman in the world for him.
Clare, was awesome. I loved her mix of nerdy and sassy, and every ounce of her eccentricities. I connected with her on a deep level, being a bit of an eccentric, sassy nerd myself. Her confidence was refreshing, and I loved the fact she wasn’t full of herself either. Her genuine care for Marcus – and people in general – was inspiring, and her backstory made the whole story far deeper than I had been expecting. In fact, so did Marcus’s past, and made them fit together all the better.
My only reason for taking off a rose, is the fact things did heat up a little much for my taste. I enjoy romance, but bedroom scenes with full details always ruin a part of the story for me. As it was an audiobook review, I couldn’t skip the part I’d rather not experience, and had to leave my kindle in the other room until I figured it was over. I didn’t enjoy that at all, and was glad there was only one scene like that to deal with.
The pace was decent, and while it did lag in a few places, it wasn’t bad enough to pull me out of the story. The narration was wonderful, and while I can’t be sure how the actual writing on paper was, the audiobook was enjoyable. I would imagine any format of this book would be appealing, and would recommend this to anyone who thinks the story sounds interesting.
